Individuals with a diagnosed Auditory Processing Disorder or who have a perceived hearing deficit despite Normal Hearing Thresholds (NHT) have been shown to benefit from personal FM systems such as the Roger Focus and remote microphones. The aim of these devices is to improve the signal to noise ratio.
More recently, Low Gain Hearing Aids (LGHA's) have shown to have a high level of patient benefit as a treatment option for patients with a perceived hearing loss with Normal Hearing Thresholds (NHT) as well as patients with Auditory Processing Disorders (APD).
